Abstract

|
The liver scan with 99m-Tc-Phytate was performed in 21 cases of mitral valaular diseases. The male and female ratio was 2:1. The size of liver measured by Plaimeter was ranged from 100cd to 220cd and the mean 170.95ed. In the male ranged from 100cni to 220cni and the mean 172.50cni. In the female ranged from 115cni to 210cnt and the mean 167.86cd.
The configuration of liver scan with 99m Tc-Phytate in the patients of mitral valvular diseases were variable but characteristic configuration was enlarged left lobe of liver. Abnormalities of liver function test were found in 62% of patients by SGOT 64% in male and 57% in female and in 38%o by SGPT 36% in male and 29% in female respectively.
Spleen visualizationwas observed 52.3% of 21 cases of mitral valvular diseases.
